Digital Tachographs became mandatory in the European Union as of May 2016 for all vehicles over 3.5 tons carrying more than 9 passengers. In our country, they have also become mandatory for all vehicles newly registered after August 2014. With some exceptions, the digital tachograph device, which is mandatory for all vehicles, has also been phased in for older-model vehicles, unlike in Europe.
